Privacy Policy

Effective August 26, 2026

TryTabled is a reservation platform operated by 241 Main LLC (“we”, “us”). Restaurants and event venues (“venues”) use it to take group dining reservations, and guests use it to make them. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the platform, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

The venue you book with is a separate business. It receives your reservation details in order to host you, and its own privacy practices apply to what it does with them once you are there.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you make a reservation, we collect what the venue needs to seat you:

  • your name, email address and mobile phone number;
  • the details of your reservation — party size, date and time, the space, menu and any extras you chose, and any special requests you write in;
  • payment information. Card details are entered directly into, and processed by, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep the deposit amount and Stripe’s identifiers for the payment and any refund, so that we can reconcile and refund your deposit.

Venue operators who sign in to manage reservations also give us their login email and password, their name and role, and their venue’s details, including a Stripe account identifier for receiving deposits.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit. We use these for security and to keep the service running.
  • Cookies. The booking flow keeps your progress in the page address, not in cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for venue operators. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use third-party trackers.

How we use it

  • to create, hold, confirm, change and cancel your reservation;
  • to pass your reservation details to the venue so it can host you;
  • to send you the messages a reservation needs — a pending notice, confirmation, a reminder before the date, and notice of any change or cancellation — by email and, if you opt in, by text message;
  • to take your deposit and issue any refund through Stripe;
  • to prevent double-bookings, abuse and fraud;
  • to respond when you or the venue contact us for help;
  • to comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Text messages

If you tick the text-message box when you book, you agree to receive text messages about that reservation. Leave it unticked and we will not text you. These are transactional messages only: a notice that your reservation request was received and is pending, a confirmation once the venue accepts it, a reminder before your reservation date, and notice if your reservation is changed or cancelled. We do not send marketing texts. The full program terms are at SMS Terms.

  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
  • Message frequency: 2-6 messages per reservation. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are not shared with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

If you opt out of texts, you will still receive the same information by email, since it is needed to honour your reservation.

Who we share it with

  • The venue you book. It receives your name, contact details and reservation details. It is an independent business and is responsible for how it handles that information.
  • Service providers that run parts of the platform on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery) and Twilio (text message delivery). Each is bound to use the information only to provide its service to us.
  • Legal and safety. When we are required to by law, or when it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of guests, venues or the public.
  • A change of ownership. If the platform is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

Reservation records are kept for as long as the venue needs them for its own records — for example to handle a dispute about a deposit, or to meet its tax and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then discarded. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices and rights

The confirmation email for your reservation contains a private link where you can view your reservation, correct your contact details, reschedule or cancel. For anything else — including a copy of the information we hold about you, or a deletion request — write to us at jk@mmh.co.

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request its deletion, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that Act. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below; we may ask for enough information to confirm the request is yours.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to reservation data is limited to the venue it belongs to and to the people who operate the platform. Payment card details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

Children

The platform is for adults making reservations and taking payment. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it was last changed. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will let you know by email or a notice on the platform.
